Which controllers are supported?
All 8031 compatible microcontrollers with at least 128 Byte internal RAM e.g. 8051, 8052, 8032, 80535, 80552, 80515, 80320, DS5000 and 87xxx or 89xxx versions. 89C2051 and similar are not supported because they have no external address bus.

NiliBasic 2.0 and NiliPascal 3.0

Does the software run under NT4.0?
Yes, if you upgrade from Windows 95 to NT, no new installation is required. Attention: the installation routines sometimes do not recognize long file names.

Does the produced code run without external RAM on the microcontroller system?
No, at least 1KB XRAM is required.

How can I download compiled code into my microcontroller system?
A simple monitor program (8031-code) and a terminal (PC-software) is included. Your external RAM must be accessible as data and code segment.

Where can I get the ELHEX.EXE to convert Intel Hex to Elektor Hex?
Download it from here.

NiliPascal 2.0

How can I use NiliSer with COM2 or other baud rates than 9600?
The parameters for the configuration file NILISER.CFG are:
BAUD=9600 (or 1200, 2400, 4800, 19200)
COM=1 (or 2, 3, 4)

Where can I buy the platine for the 80535 Compuboard?
The original platines are available directly from Elektor. The modified 80535 platine, unfortunately, has never been produced by them.

Are ligatures (combined consonants) included in the truetype fonts?
Yes, all ligatures that can be written horizontally are included.

How do I enter Sanskrit text?
There is a separated input line where you enter text as pronounced and the program transforms this automatically into Devanagari.
